Reports: Former Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave arrested, accused of speeding in 30 mph zone

KENNER, La. — Former Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave was arrested on suspicion of reckless operation of a motor vehicle, police said.

ESPN reports that Olave was taken into custody on Monday in Kenner, Louisiana. Police said he was driving 70 mph in a 30 mph zone on Joe Yenni Boulevard.

Olave was booked into the Kenner jail and was set to be released once the paperwork was processed, police said.

The New Orleans Saints said they were aware of the situation but had no comment, according to ESPN.

Olave, in his second year with the Saints, leads the team with 39 catches for 471 yards and a touchdown.

New Orleans plays at the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
