DENVER — Starbucks is officially on summertime with a new menu lineup.
The Seattle-based coffee giant will release Summer-Berry Starbucks Refreshers beverages on Tuesday. The trio of new drinks feature popping raspberry flavored pearls.
Starbucks' summer menu also sees the return of the White Chocolate Macadamia Cold Brew for a second summer. Other added menu items include the new Orange Cream Cake Pop and new Pineapple Cloud Cake.
The new drinks and food items will be available for a limited time in the United States this summer.
"We started out thinking about summer moments like hanging out by the pool and having a barbecue with friends," said Simon Vuong, beverage developer for Starbucks. "We have never had a blue beverage, but when we first created the recipe, the color really captured the feeling we were going for – reminiscent of long, summer days and bright skies for everyone to enjoy."
Starbucks said the raspberry flavored pearls are inspired from drinks around the world, especially East Asian beverages with boba or pearls that have been popular for decades.
"We started with fruit pieces, but we wanted something even bolder," said Vuong. "So, we thought, ‘Let’s put fruit-flavored pearls in the beverage and try it out.’ It’s very fun the way it delivers the flavor when it pops in your mouth."

The new drink has a sweet and summery blend of raspberry, blueberry and blackberry flavors shaken with ice and poured over new popping raspberry flavored pearls.
Summer-Berry Lemonade Starbucks Refreshers Beverage
The drink combines Summer-Berry Refreshers shaken with ice and lemonade and poured over popping raspberry flavored pearls.
Summer Skies Drink
The new non-dairy beverage features Summer-Berry Refreshers coconutmilk poured over ice and popping raspberry flavored pearls.
White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew
Back for a second summertime at Starbucks, the drink features Starbucks Cold Brew with macadamia syrup and is topped with white chocolate macadamia cream cold foam and toasted cookie crumbles.
Orange Cream Cake Pop
The pop brings together orange cream cake with buttercream and is dipped in a white chocolate icing.
Pineapple Cloud Cake
An airy cake filled with layers of pineapple cream, pineapple spread and whole fruit pieces with a sweet drizzle topping.
