WASHINGTON — Fisher Price is recalling roughly 21,000 Thomas & Friends train car toys due to a choking hazard.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall alert on Oct. 19, alerting consumers to stop using the toys. No injuries have been reported in connection to the recall.

The recall was issued after Fisher-Price was notified of a report of the plastic connector becoming loose and detaching from the product. The train cars come with magnetic connectors to attach to other toys.

The items under the recall are "Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Troublesome Truck & Crates" and "Troublesome Truck & Paint." The recalled toys, which measure about 3.6 inches long by 2.1 inches high, come with faces on them, resembling characters from Thomas & Friends.

The train cars were sold nationwide at Barnes & Noble as well as online at Amazon.com and other websites from February 2022 through August 2023 for $17. Some 400 units were also sold in Canada.
