CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — Western New York's oldest and most dedicated mall walker is turning 100! Happy birthday to Mieczylaw "Matt" Laba. He turns 100-years-old on March 9, 2024.

Two On Your Side first met Mr. Laba last year when we joined him on his daily mall walk.

See his full story here.

His life journey has taken him from surviving the Blitzkrieg and a work camp in World War II, to being the oldest mallwalker at the Walden Galleria. He's done it twice a day, 6 days a week for the past 35 years! And he has no plans of stopping anytime soon.

Besides the exercise, Mr. Laba has a few more keys to a long and happy life: every day drink a glass of wine, eat a garlic clove, and never argue.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Laba!
