The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after a man laying in the road is hit and killed in Morrow County.
Police say it happened just after 1 a.m. Saturday on County Road 26, north of Marengo in Bennington Township.
Troopers say Jacob E. Howard, 18, was driving southbound when he struck James R. Bobo, 35, of Marengo. Authorities say Bobo was laying in the road at the time he was struck.
Medics pronounced Bobo dead at the scene and taken to Morrow County Morgue. Howard was not injured in the crash and police do not think he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says they believe Bobo may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of his death.
