Mobile Home Fire Kills 3 Children

Three children were killed on Thursday night in a mobile home fire in Crawford County.

Arianna Buzzard, 7, Aryan Buzzard, 6, and Joseph Buzzard, 3, all died in the fire, 10TV'sDanielle Elias reported.

The fire happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. at 70 Waterford Glenn.  Residents who livenearby saw flames and smoke and ran to help.

"I screamed and hollered and screamed and hollered and just couldn't get in," a neighborsaid.  "Smoke was just coming out and when it got air, it just went 'woosh.'

Mason Olmstead, 15, who is the brother of the three children who died, escaped the fire andwas treated at a hospital on Thursday night for unspecified injuries.

He was expected to be OK.

Neighbors said the teenager also tried unsuccessfully to get inside.

"The flames just pushed him off the porch, too," a neighbor said.

The children's mother was on her way home from work at the time of the fire.

It was not clear what started the fire, although investigators said the blaze began in theliving room. Investigators said there were no working smoke detectors in the home.

The investigation was ongoing.

It was the second deadly fire in central Ohio on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, two people, including a 19-year-old, were killed in a house fire nearZanesville.
