Investigators confirmed that a body found on Sunday in Ashland County was that of a missingColumbus woman.
Amy McCarthy was reported missing on Wednesday, 10TV's Shayla Reaves reported.
Police said that McCarthy, 46, was last seen driving a car.
According to investigators, McCarthy's body was found in a wooded area by a pond, about 1,500feet away from her vehicle.
"The cell phone, it was pinging in the area of our county between 2-3 miles (away from hervehicle)," said Sgt. Cindy Benner of the Ashland County Sheriff's Office. "We were searchingthe area and that's how we located the vehicle."
Investigators said that there were no signs of foul play and they were working to determine whyshe was in Ashland County.
McCarthy's body was expected to be brought to Cleveland for an autopsy. Investigators said theywould wait on toxicology reports before releasing a cause of death.
