Man's Stabbing Named Crime Of Week

Crime Stoppers announced on Sunday that it is offering a reward of up to $2,000 in hopes ofsolving an August slaying.

On Aug, 23, police said that Carlos De La Cruz was found dead inside a pickup that was parkedbehind a Myrtle Avenue home on the city's northeast side.

Neighbors saw him inside the pickup and when they checked on him, he was dead, police said.

Investigators said De La Cruz, 30, was stabbed.

Police said that he was last seen at his home at about 1:30 a.m. the day his body wasdiscovered.

The reward is in effect for information received by Dec. 16 that leads to the arrest orindictment of the person or people responsible for the crime.  Anyone with information isasked to contact Crime Stoppers at 614-461-8477 or e-mail them by using their Web site.  Texttips can be sent to "274637" with key word "CMH."
