A man was found dead in his driveway on Tuesday morning and Madison County Sheriff's Deputiesare investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
Jack Burgoon was found in the driveway of his home on Hicks Road, shortly after 10:30 a.m.,10TV's Maureen Kocot reported.
Burgoon's pickup was missing, but investigators recovered it shortly after 5 p.m., just a fewmiles from his home.
Family members said Burgoon, 62, still had his wallet and his cell phone. They said they have noidea why someone would hurt him.
"It doesn't seem real," said Burgoon's friend Shelly Kincaid.
Investigators would not say how Burgoon died, Kocot reported.
