A man who was trapped in an industrial-size roller at a west side food packaging company Tuesday died Wednesday.
According to police, the incident took place at Genpak, located at 845 Kaderly Dr., shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The roller’s emergency shutoff system activated when Ivan Grover became trapped, and 25 employees at the business at the time helped free the man, 10TV’s Danielle Elias reported.
The man was trapped by his right arm between two large rollers, and Grover, 36, was pulled into the machine up to his chest, officials said.
The man was taken to Mount Carmel West Hospital, where he died.
