Authorities are trying to identify a man who robbed a southwest side bank on Fridayafternoon.
The Fifth Third Bank, located at 1669 Holt Rd., was held up shortly after 3 p.m. by a manwearing a dark baseball cap, sunglasses and a Band-Aid on the right side of his face.
After walking inside the bank, the man handed a teller a note that said he had a gun and wantedmoney. No weapon was seen, but the employee handed over a small amount of cash and the robberfled.
No one was injured.
The man may have been staking out another financial institution before deciding to rob thebank. According to the FBI, before the Fifth Third Robbery, the man was seen across thestreet at a credit union.
Anyone who recognizes the robber was asked to call Columbus police.
