Winner hits $2 million prize on scratch-off lottery ticket purchased at Columbus convenience store

The winner chose the cash option of $1,000,000. After state and federal taxes totaling 28%, the winner will take home about $720,000.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A lucky winner hit the top prize worth $2 million on an Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket purchased from a Columbus convenience store.

The ticket was purchased at M & S Carryout on Georgesville Road on the city's southwest side.

The winner chose the cash option of $1 million. After state and federal taxes totaling 28%, the winner will take home about $720,000. Their name was not released.

The money was won from the $300Million Diamond Dazzler scratch-off ticket. The $20 ticket's top prize is $80,000 a year for 25 years. As of June 17, there are three top prizes remaining.
