COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio has more than $1.9 billion in jackpot prizes available to win this week.
The Powerball has grown to more than $800 million, which equates to $384.3 million in cash, for Monday’s drawing. In Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing, the jackpot is at $1.10 billion.
Both massive prizes are the results of months without a big winner, but the larger jackpots entice more people to play the games, increasing the chance that someone, somewhere, will finally hit it rich.
If there isn't a winner, the next chance to win Powerball will be Wednesday night and the next drawing for Mega Millions will be Friday night.
Powerball saw its last Ohio jackpot winner on April 14, 2023, for $252.6 million at GetGo in Macedonia. Ohio Lottery players last hit the Mega Millions jackpot on Dec. 17, 2019, for $372 million on a ticket sold at Giant Eagle in Mentor.
In Classic Lotto, an Ohio exclusive, the jackpot is now $8.1 million, or $4 million cash, for Monday’s drawing.
Classic Lotto’s last jackpot winner won the $5.5 million prize on Oct. 9, 2023. That ticket was sold at Circle K in Crookston.
