Ohioan wins $1,000 a day for life after winning Lucky for Life drawing

The winner can choose the annuity prize of $365,000 or a cash prize of $5,750,000.

OBETZ, Ohio — One lucky person in Ohio won $1,000 a day for the rest of their life.

According to the Ohio Lottery, someone bought the winning Lucky for Life ticket at the Shell gas station at 4425 Alum Creek Dr. in Obetz on Monday.

The winning numbers were 1-21-24-27-48, and the Lucky Ball was 18.

The winner can choose the annuity prize of $365,000 or a cash prize of $5,750,000.

Lucky for Life is a multi-state draw game with drawings held seven days a week. 

How to play

Each wager costs $2 and is compromised of two sets of numbers. For each wager, pick five numbers from a pool of 1 to 48 and one Lucky Ball number from a second pool of numbers, 1-18. Players can select their own numbers or use the auto pick feature. Players can also give their numbers to the retailer or place their wagers by using a bet card.
