COLUMBUS, Ohio — Zoombezi Bay is hosting a special preview weekend for those ready to get an early start on the summer fun.
The park will be open on May 18 and 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. before opening for daily operations starting on May 25. A season pass holder appreciation day is being held on May 24.
The park will shift to only being open on weekends from Aug. 12 through Sept. 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
During the preview weekend, a "Bring a Friend" discount for the waterpark will be offered to season pass holders and Columbus Zoo gold members. The passes will cost $25 each.
Zoombezi Bay season passes are $135. Gold passes are $195 for Franklin County residents and $210 for non-Franklin County residents.
Zoombezi Bay is offering several new features for the 2024 season, which can be seen below:
- Extended hours: The water park will be open until 8 p.m. from July 5 - 28.
- Late Entry Tickets: Late admission tickets for $19.99 for guests after 4 p.m.
- Ride and Slide Pass: Includes a Zoombezi Bay Day Pass and one-day ZooMore ride wristband for all Adventure Cove and Columbus Zoo rides.
- Happy Hour: $2 off domestic beer at Sandbar and Coconut Joe's Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- New Restaurant: Bite. Zoombezi Bay's former Big Island Grill has been updated with a new concept. Fan favorites like burgers and chicken tenders will be available as well as fresh new items like strawberry pecan salad, chilled BBQ chicken wrap, chilled Italian hoagie, strawberries & creme dessert.
- Select Seating Area: Guests can enhance their visit by reserving space in a new Select Seating area. This area offers a roped-off section with six cabana-style lounge chairs, one 12-foot funbrella that provides shade for private groups, one standard locker voucher, and easy access to Baboon Lagoon and Roaring Rapids to start the fun!
- Upgraded Adults: Only Premium Loungers: Guests 21 years and older can experience ultimate relaxation by reserving newly-upgraded Adults-Only Premium Loungers at Croctail Creek. This reserved seating in our adults-only section of the waterpark includes private shade structures, exclusive concierge service, small lock box for storing valuables, and additional conveniences to ensure that guests enjoy their own “oasis” at Zoombezi Bay! New for 2024, this lounger rental for two people also includes. New features include reserved and exclusive tubes for Croctail Creek, complimentary towels and cellphone chargers, select food and drinks delivered to loungers.
