COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus police are investigating the death of a woman after her body was found on the city's southeast side Thursday afternoon.
Investigators responded to a suspicious death investigation near Noe Bixby Road and Carbondale Drive after a body was found by workers in the area.
The victim was pronounced dead at 2:18 p.m. by Columbus fire personnel.
An autopsy performed Friday discovered that the victim was suffering from a gunshot wound which resulted in her death.
Investigators are still attempting to identify the victim and determine the circumstances regarding the incident.
