COLUMBUS, Ohio — A woman was killed, and another driver was injured in a crash in Morrow County Thursday evening, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The two-vehicle crash happened on state Route 19 near County Road 8 in North Bloomfield Township just before 6 p.m.
OSHP says 58-year-old Julie Switzer, of Galion, was driving a Buick LeSabre eastbound on County Road 8 and failed to yield from a stop sign. She drove into the intersection and her vehicle was struck by a Jeep Wrangler.
Both vehicles went off the road after impact.
Switzer died from her injuries at the scene. The driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash, according to OSHP.
