COLUMBUS, Ohio — A woman is dead and two children are injured after a crash in Pickaway County Sunday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. on U.S. Route 23 North, just south of Weigand Road and north of South Bloomfield.

Deputies with the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office investigated the scene and found that a Mazda MZ6, driven by 32-year-old Jerri Braswell, was traveling northbound when it went off the road.

Braswell reportedly overcorrected and her vehicle went across the other side of the road where it rolled several times. Braswell and one of the children inside were ejected, according to the sheriff’s office.

Braswell was pronounced dead at the scene. The two children, ages 9 and 11, were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The sheriff’s office described their conditions as stable.

The crash remains under investigation.
