COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 21-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man are dead after an ATV crash in Clark County early Saturday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 12:50 a.m. in the 3200 block of Ballentine Pike, just northwest of Springfield.

A preliminary investigation by state troopers shows that a man, identified as Landon Overholser, was driving the ATV northbound on Ballentine Pike, with Kylie Coffey as a passenger, when he sideswiped another ATV.

Their ATV lost control before going off the road where they struck a fence and overturned.

Overholser was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.

Coffey was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center where she died from her injuries, according to OSHP.

The roadway was closed for about four hours while troopers investigated the crash.
