TOLEDO, Ohio — A woman was arrested Thursday and is charged in the death of a 40-year-old man in north Columbus last year, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Amira Reid, 20, was wanted by the Columbus Division of Police Homicide Unit in connection to the death of Juan Pablo Aleman on Jan. 9, 2023.
According to authorities, Reid was allegedly involved in an incident on Riverview Drive where Aleman was shot and killed. After the shooting, Aleman was discovered by police inside an apartment.
Marshals later discovered Reid fled the Columbus area and was in northwest Ohio. Reid was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force in the 400 block of Southgate Circle in Toledo.
She was taken to the Lucas County Jail where she was booked.
