On Sept. 23, police officers arrived at a home on Beechbank Road and found that the infant was not breathing, and officers began CPR.

First responders also found the girl's 23-month-old sister, who was injured. Both girls were taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital and the 9-month-old died from her injuries.

It’s still unclear at this time how the infant died.

Whitehall Police Assistant Chief Dan Kelso said both children had bruising and possible bone fractures. According to court documents, Dreyer is accused of abusing or torturing the 23-month-old child which resulted in serious physical harm.

Dreyer is scheduled to be arraigned in Franklin County Court of Common Pleas on Nov. 4.
