Where you can recycle political yard signs in Franklin County

From now until Dec. 1, SWACO will also collect signs at the east end of the Franklin County Board of Elections parking lot.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — SWACO will have several drop-off locations for any Franklin County residents looking to recycle their political yard signs now that the election has ended.

In Franklin County, there will be a mobile collection event on Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Bill McDonald Athletic Complex, located at 4990 Olentangy River Rd.

Residents can also drop off any yard signs and metal stands at the SWACO Recycling Convenience Center at 2566 Jackson Pike in Columbus between 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays throughout November.

From now until Dec. 1, SWACO will also collect signs at the east end of the Franklin County Board of Elections parking lot. The Franklin County Board of Elections is located at 1700 Morse Rd.

If residents are unable to attend a collection event or make it to a drop-off site, paper signs can be placed in curbside recycling containers, and stretchy plastic signs can be recycled at a retail location that accepts film plastics. SWACO asks residents not to put coroplast signs or metal stands in curbside or drop-off containers.
