COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio is home to several beautiful hills that are great for viewing the fall foliage.

As the leaves change colors, they offer up a beautiful, vivid display. Bright colors are more likely when late summer is dry and autumn has sunny days and cool nights.

The average peak foliage in central Ohio is typically between Oct. 15 and 29.

Areas toward Cleveland are now past peak conditions and central Ohio is at its peak.

Cincinnati will peak by the end of the month and into early November.

Thanks to the drought, colors will be less impressive this year in Columbus but may be a bit brighter near Cincinnati.
