Verizon Wireless announced service was restored in Columbus around 4:30 p.m. Monday. The company said there was a network disruption because of a hardware issue and technicians were able to repair the problem.

Verizon Wireless customers throughout Columbus are reporting they are experiencing issues with their cell service.

Verizon has not put out an official statement or released any details on the reported outages.

Customer service representatives from Verizon Wireless Support are responding to customers who have reported experiencing issues via Twitter.

The support staff stated the company is ‘experiencing a wireless network issue’ in the area and their technicians are working to resolve the problem.
