COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man is dead after his vehicle crashed into a utility pole and caught on fire in southeast Columbus Wednesday night.
Around 10:30 p.m., the Columbus Division of Police says Adrian Green was driving his 2010 GMC Terrain south on Lockbourne Road at Buckeye Park Road.
Green ran off the right side of the road and then struck a utility pole.
Officers arrived at the scene and saw that the SUV was on fire. Green was pulled from the vehicle and officers performed CPR until medics arrived.
Green was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition and later died.
Police say the crash remains under investigation. Green’s death marks the 17th traffic-related fatality this year.
