Multiple vehicle break-ins reported outside stores, restaurants, hotels near Easton

The exact number of vehicles broken into has not yet been released.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Multiple vehicle break-ins have been reported near Easton Town Center Monday evening, according to the Columbus Division of Police. 

The calls for vehicle break-ins started around 6:15 p.m. A public safety dispatcher for the city told 10TV that five suspects with ski masks broke into vehicles at the Nordstrom Rack at Easton Market.

No other information was provided on the suspects and the exact number of vehicles broken into has not yet been released.

Following those break-ins, a dispatcher confirmed that more reports of break-ins were made outside Best Buy, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, Marriott, Holiday Inn, REI and HomeGoods.

One victim reported having his gun stolen from his truck, which was parked outside the Holiday Inn.

10TV is working to learn how many vehicles were impacted and whether the break-ins are being done by the same suspects.
