Upper Arlington police lieutenant resigns after accepting plea deal

Conrad responded to a decoy ad placed by an undercover Columbus officer on Backpage.com on January 10.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A former Upper Arlington Police lieutenant has accepted a plea agreement which included his resignation from the police force.

Jeffrey Conrad appeared in Franklin County Municipal Court Monday where he pled guilty to loitering.

According to court records, Conrad responded to a decoy ad placed by an undercover Columbus officer on Backpage.com on January 10.

Conrad was charged with soliciting and was placed on paid administrative leave by the Upper Arlington Police.

Franklin County Judge Amy Salerno fined Conrad $350 and accepted his guilty plea of loitering. As a part of his plea, he submitted his resignation from the Upper Arlington Police Department.
