Fairfield County residents got an early morning wake up call Sunday when tornado sirens across the county started firing off warning sounds.
It started around 8:30 and is unclear how long it lasted.
The Fairfield County Emergency Management Agency posted this statement on their Facebook Page:
Fairfield County officials say a human error led to the sirens going off.
This is not the first time a central Ohio community had issues with siren activation.
In February, hundreds of Newark residents were awakened by tornado sirens with no severe weather threat, causing a number of tornado sirens to be repaired.
