BUCYRUS, Ohio — Bucyrus City Schools canceled classes on Wednesday after the district's superintendent said a bomb threat was made toward the schools.
Superintendent Robert Britton said the district received a text threat Wednesday morning as kids were coming to school.
Britton said students at the middle and high school were evacuated to Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Tiffin Street where parents can pick them up.
Any student who drove to school will be bused back to the high school parking lot and they can return home. No one will be allowed to enter the building.
School is expected to be in session on Thursday "as long as the building remains clear." There will be an extra police presence Thursday as well.
The threat is under investigation.
