COLUMBUS, Ohio — A teenage girl was shot when someone fired a weapon at her home in the South Linden neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened in the 1200 block of East 20th Avenue near Cleveland Avenue just before 2:50 a.m. The Columbus Division of Police received a call from someone saying their sister was shot.
Officers arrived and found the teen shot inside the home. She was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital for treatment and is expected to be OK.
Investigators say the teen was inside her upstairs bedroom when someone outside fired shots in the back of the house.
Information on the suspect or the shooting victim’s age was not available.
