COLUMBUS, Ohio — Deputies arrested a man on Tuesday accused of fatally shooting a 51-year-old man in early October.
Joshua T. Adair, 35, is charged with murder for the death of 51-year-old John Moore.
Columbus police responded to the shooting at around 1:40 a.m. on Oct. 8 in the 2100 block of Cleveland Avenue, located in Linden.
Responding officers were told Moore was in his vehicle when Adair reportedly approached him with a gun and tried to rob him. A scuffle happened and police said Adair fired at Moore, wounding him.
Officers rendered aid to Moore until a Columbus Fire Medic arrived at the scene. Moore was taken to Grant Medical Center, where police said he later died at 3:14 a.m.
According to an updated release, Adair was identified as a suspect and was arrested in Saltcreek Township as part of a joint operation between the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office and Columbus Division of Police.
