LICKING COUNTY, Ohio -- The Ohio Department of Transportation is responding to a collapsed roadway in Licking County.
A large portion of State Route 79 collapsed in the Heath community.
A culvert washed out a large portion of the road.
A pickup truck began to fall into the sinkhole, but it did not completely submerge, as crews were able to stop it from going into the sinkhole.
One person who was inside the truck was able to escape unharmed.
There is rushing water under the collapsed roadway.
SR-79 is closed north of James Parkway.
Drivers are advised to completely avoid the area.
