$5,000 reward offered for information on fire at state-owned building in downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Investigators with the Columbus Division of Fire and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are looking for suspects accused of causing a fire that damaged the State Teacher Retirement System building.

ATF said several people set fire to items outside the building on May 30 around 9:30 p.m.  Investigators said the fire caused about $500,000 in damage to the building

The building is located at 275 East Broad Street in downtown Columbus and is owned by the state.

"ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and successful prosecution of the individuals responsible for this fire," the agency said in a release.
