CLINTON TOWNSHIP – The Clinton Township police are investigating after someone broke into two law enforcement vehicles and stole at least two guns.
Officials say the break-in appears to have happened overnight at the police station located at 3820 Cleveland Avenue.
Clinton Township Police Chief Michael Jones says a shotgun and a rifle were taken and there is significant damage to one of the two cruisers.
Police have notified the ATF about the stolen gun. They are dusting for fingerprints and using a K9 dog to help identify a suspect.
This incident remains under investigation.
