Ten people were shot early Sunday morning in the 1100 block of North High Street, between Standard Hall and Michael’s Goody Boy.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Authorities announced Monday that there is a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of suspects in the Short North Arts District shooting that happened over the weekend.

Columbus Division of Police Assistant Chief LaShanna Potts and Deputy Chief Smith Weir addressed the events that unfolded on North High Street early Sunday morning during a press briefing. Potts announced that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has offered a reward for information on the suspects involved.

Ten people were shot just before 2:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of North High Street, between Standard Hall and Michael’s Goody Boy. Two of the victims were teenagers, Columbus police told 10TV at the scene.

Police said a man was listed in critical condition and the other shooting victims were described as stable.

A suspect got into a white Honda Civic with tinted windows that drove away from the scene. The driver evaded police during attempted stops.

A man turned himself in to police Sunday evening and identified himself as the driver of the Honda Civic that police were searching for. Franklin County Municipal Court records identified the man as Deangelo Fuller. Court records also say he admitted to driving the Honda Civic and not stopping when officers chased him.

Fuller is facing a felony charge of obstructing official business with the risk of physical harm. He was arraigned in municipal court on Monday and was given a $100,000 bond.

On Tuesday, Potts told 10TV's Andrew Kinsey that police believe there may have been at least four people who fired weapons during the incident based on the shell casings.

Weir said that there have now been 12 mass shootings in the city between 2023 and 2024. According to the Gun Violence Archive, a shooting is defined as a "mass shooting" when a minimum of four people are either injured or killed, not including any shooter injured or killed in the incident.

“That’s unacceptable for any community. Specifically, a community like Columbus that has prided itself on reducing gun violence and has seen a significant decrease this year. Unfortunately, the mass shootings have been an outlier in terms of our progress with gun violence,” Weir said.

Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther released a statement to social media Sunday morning, expressing his outrage for the gun violence and urging community members to step forward with tips and information.
