COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is injured after a shooting inside a northeast Columbus grocery store Friday evening, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Officers were called to Giant Eagle Market District, located at 2900 Stelzer Rd., on a report of a shooting just after 6:45 p.m.
The female victim was transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital. Police describe her condition as "stable."
Police confirmed that the victim is not a Giant Eagle employee.
In a statement sent to 10TV, Giant Eagle said that they are aware of the situation and are working closely with police. They added that the store will remain closed for the rest of the evening.
There is no suspect information at this time.

"We are supporting authorities in their investigation into the incident that occurred at our Market District on Stelzer Road in Columbus. Our thoughts are with our injured guest, as well as the other guests and our Team Members in the store at the time who witnessed the incident.
We are offering support services to store Team Members throughout the weekend and will keep the store closed for the remainder of the evening. The Market District will reopen for guests at 7 a.m. tomorrow."
