COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is dead after a shooting near Kroger in the University District Saturday afternoon, according to Columbus Division of Police Sgt. James Fuqua.
Officers were called on a report of a shooting at North High Street and Clark Place just before 2:40 p.m.
Fuqua said one person was transported to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. They were later pronounced dead at 4:24 p.m.
No arrests have been made. Fuqua added that the suspect was described as a Black male wearing dark clothing.
It's unclear at this time what led up to the shooting.
