The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a woman’s body that was found along a road Thursday afternoon.
On Friday, the Sheriff's Office identified the woman as 30-year-old Lindsey Leigh Maccabee of Columbus, Ohio.
Sheriff Dave Phalen says Maccabee's body was found naked near Pleasantville on Lake Road near the railroad tracks by a passerby around 1:40 p.m.
Sheriff Phalen added that were signs of trauma on the body and the death is considered extremely suspicious.
Investigators ask that if anyone has information about Maccabee, to contact the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office at 740-652-7900.
