Authorities in Union County are investigating the cause of a head-on crash Monday that left one woman dead and another person injured.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 5 p.m. on Collins Road in Allen Township.
According to the Union County Sheriff's Office, a woman driving a 1999 Honda Accord northeast on Collins Road went left of center and collided with another person driving a 2017 Honda Accord traveling southwest.
Two victims were initially transported to Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the 1999 Accord, identified as 42-year-old Erin A. Lee, of Urbana, was later flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She passed away early Tuesday morning, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office says that investigators determined that drugs may have been a factor in the crash and additional tests are being conducted.
