DELAWARE -- Seven people escaped an early-morning house fire on the east side of Delaware Wednesday.
According to Delaware fire personnel, the fire came in at 2:17 a.m. and when fire crews arrived, all members of the household were outside and accounted for.
Heavy fire was showing from the second-floor windows when crews arrived. The fire was contained within about 40 minutes and the cause was determined as accidental.
One person was taken to Grady Hospital for smoke inhalation, but the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
