Semi driver killed in crash on ramp from I-270 to I-71 in southwest Franklin County

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened after 8 p.m. on the ramp from Interstate 270 west to Interstate 71 south.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — A semitrailer driver was killed in a crash in southwest Franklin County Wednesday night.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened after 8 p.m. on the ramp from Interstate 270 west to Interstate 71 south. When the semi got to the top of the ramp, the sheriff's office said it went off the left side of the road and rolled onto the driver's side.

First responders pronounced the driver dead at 8:29 p.m. Their identity was not released. No other injuries were reported.

The ramp from I-270 west to I-71 was shut down overnight and reopened just after 5:30 a.m.
