UTICA, Ohio – A school bus driver who crashed outside an elementary school Tuesday morning died from natural causes, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., OSHP says 59-year-old Bridget A. Cline suffered an apparent heart attack while sitting in the driver seat of a North Fork Local school bus at Utica Elementary.
The bus then went down an embankment and struck a chain-link fence between the school building and the football field.
Cline was transported to Licking Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead. OSHP says there were no signs of injury from the crash.
Students were not on the bus at the time and no one else was hurt.
