ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A 22-year-old man was killed and another man was injured following a single-vehicle crash in Ross County Friday afternoon, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

OSHP says around 1:55 p.m., a Honda Pilot driven by Alexander Pollard, of West Union, was traveling south on U.S. Route 23 when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, through the median and into the northbound lanes.

The vehicle began to overturn, ejecting Pollard. It continued off the left side of the road until it stopped under the state Route 207 overpass.

Pollard died of his injuries as a result of the crash. His male passenger was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

U.S. Route 23 was shut down for around three hours after the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
