FRANKLIN COUNTY -- The Franklin County Sheriff Office is investigating a report of a student having access to incendiary materials Tuesday morning.

The student resource officer at Westland High School was contacted by another student of a specific student having access to incendiary materials. Out of precaution, the deputy order the evacuation of the school and students were moved to the football stadium nearby, according to the Franklin County Sheriff Office.

A Southwestern City School official said deputies searched the school and surrounded the area, including lockers. Nothing was found deemed threatening.

Authorities say students were permitted to return to the school building and detectives are interviewing the students involved.
