FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio – AEP Ohio says crews were working to repair two separate power outages in eastern Franklin County on Monday.

One was in the area of Taylor Road and affects about 1,000 customers, according to AEP.

The outage was caused after a semi-tractor trailer hit a power pole and brought down wires.

Dispatchers said Taylor Road is closed between Eastgate Parkway and Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road because of the crash. One person was taken to Grant Medical Center.

The other outage affected around 3,400 customers in the Blacklick area, according to AEP.

AEP said the second outage was caused by an equipment problem.

The estimated time of restoration for both outages was 8 p.m.

As of around 4:30 p.m., the estimated time of restoration was changed to around midnight because AEP said the semi must be unloaded and moved before repairs can be made.

As of about 10:30 p.m., both outages were resolved on AEP Ohio's website.
