COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus police officers wrangled a pot-bellied pig who escaped from a west Columbus home Tuesday morning.
Dispatchers received a call around 9:30 a.m. when someone spotted the pig in the area of Atlanta Drive and Roth Avenue. The caller said they were afraid the pig was going to get hit by a car.
"Pot-belly pig running loose," the dispatcher told officers.
Columbus Police say Officer Hysell was able to hook the pig on a leash with the help of Officers Mannon and Harper.
The officers said the pig wouldn’t get in a cruiser. They waited for the Capital Area Humane Society to arrive with a crate.
