Coroner identifies 45-year-old man who died after being struck by 2 vehicles in west Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Franklin County Coroner’s Office identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed by two vehicles in west Columbus on Saturday.

The coroner’s office said the pedestrian was identified as 45-year-old Christopher Kuehl. 

According to the Columbus Division of Police, around 5:15 p.m., Kuehl was crossing Sullivant Avenue between Atlanta Drive and Dixie Court from north to south and was not in a marked crosswalk.

At the same time, a Honda Pilot was traveling eastbound on Sullivant in the left lane and struck Kuehl. The vehicle did not stop and continued east on Sullivant, police said.

Kuehl fell into the right lane and was struck again by a Jeep Cherokee. Police said the Cherokee remained at the scene.

Medics pronounced Kuehl dead at the scene.
