Suspect identified in fatal hit-and-run motorcycle crash in Clintonville

Records show Andrew McNulty is charged with one count of failing to stop after an accident that resulted in the death of another.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police identified a man charged in a hit-and-run crash involving a motorcycle in Clintonville on Monday.

The crash happened at the intersection of North High Street and East Kelso Road around 7:45 p.m.

Police said 64-year-old Andrew Ian McNulty was driving north on North High Street in a 1995 Jeep Cherokee when he collided with a man riding a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, identified by police as 46-year-old Omobayomije Fasheun, was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital and pronounced dead at 8:30 p.m.

Police say McNulty left the scene of the crash in his vehicle, but was later found on Brighton Road. Sgt. Joe Albert said early indications were the driver of the Jeep was under the influence of alcohol or narcotics and they were arrested for OVI.
