Police: Man dies after shooting in northeast Columbus

The unidentified man was pronounced dead at Grant Medical Center.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man died following a shooting in northeast Columbus Tuesday evening.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers received a ShotSpotter alert around 7:04 p.m. in the 2200 block of Parkwood Avenue.

Sgt. Joe Albert said officers found a man behind what is believed to be a vacant business at the corner of Parkwood Avenue and East Hudson Street.

The man was taken to Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The Franklin County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 35-year-old Corey Meade.
