MOUNT VERNON, OH - The Mount Vernon Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Monday night.
Police said officers responded around 7:35 p.m. to a residence in the area of North Sandusky Street and Calhoun Street.
When officers arrived, 41-year-old John Serio, Jr. was found dead inside from a gunshot wound, according to the police.
Caleb Sarge was arrested and taken to Knox County Jail. He was charged with murder.
The case remains under investigation.
